Monica AI Terms of Service
These terms set out the agreement between you and Monica AI when you use the website and the companion chat.

1. Acceptance of these terms
By using monica-im.com or any Monica AI companion chat you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the service.
2. Eligibility
The service is for adults aged 18 or older. By using Monica AI you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. Definitions
"Service" means the Monica AI website and chat features. "Companion" means any fictional character presented on the site. "You" means the person using the service.
4. Fictional characters
Every Monica AI companion is a written fictional character. No profile represents a real person, and no reply should be read as coming from one.
5. Nature of the service
Monica AI is entertainment and companionship. It is not counselling, therapy, medical care, legal advice or financial advice.
6. No emergency use
The service must never be used in an emergency. If you or someone else is at risk, contact local emergency services immediately.
7. Account creation
You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you provide and for keeping your login credentials confidential.
8. Account security
Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else. You remain responsible for activity carried out through it.
9. One person per account
Accounts are personal. Sharing, selling or transferring an account is not permitted.
10. Acceptable use
Do not use Monica AI to harass others, break the law, distribute malware, scrape the site or attempt to disrupt the platform.
11. Prohibited content
Content involving minors, non-consensual acts, real identifiable individuals, extreme violence or illegal activity is forbidden without exception.
12. Impersonation
You may not present a companion as a real individual or use exported conversations to imply that a real person said something.
13. User content licence
You keep ownership of what you write. You grant Monica AI the limited licence needed to store and process your messages so the service can function.
14. Our intellectual property
The Monica AI name, design, character writing, images and code are owned by us or our licensors and may not be reused without written permission.
15. Feedback
Suggestions you send us may be used to improve the service without obligation or payment.
16. Availability
We aim to keep Monica AI online continuously but the service is provided as available and may be interrupted for maintenance or technical reasons.
17. Changes to the service
Features, companions and pricing may be added, changed or withdrawn as the platform develops.
18. Paid features
Where paid options exist, the price and billing period are shown before purchase and charges are taken by the payment provider.
19. Renewals and cancellation
Any subscription continues until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and access runs to the end of the paid period.
20. Refunds
Refunds are handled according to the policy shown at purchase and any mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live.
21. Third-party services
Links or offers from partners are governed by their own terms and we are not responsible for what happens on their sites.
22. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or puts other users or the platform at risk.
23. Your right to leave
You may stop using Monica AI and request deletion of your account at any time.
24. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law, including any warranty that companion replies will be accurate or suitable.
25. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Monica AI is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from use of the service.
26. Indemnity
You agree to cover reasonable claims that arise from your misuse of the service or your breach of these terms.
27. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at our place of establishment, without regard to conflict of law rules.
28. Dispute resolution
We ask that you contact us first so we can try to resolve the matter informally before any formal proceedings begin.
29. Severability and waiver
If a clause is found unenforceable the remaining clauses stay in force, and not enforcing a right once does not waive it.
30. Updates to these terms
We may revise these terms and will change the date shown at the top of the page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised version.
